Dealing with life’s challenges is never easy, but you don’t have to face them alone. I am committed to assisting my clients in overcoming obstacles, addressing negative thought patterns, developing healthier coping mechanisms, and improving self-awareness and resilience.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I have experience in assisting adults, adolescents, and families in crisis with a variety of mental health issues. I am registered in Ontario, Canada. I have received formal training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I provide individual, family, and couple therapy to clients in an inclusive and non-judgmental manner. Additionally, I have over 13 years of experience working with mental health research participants in Canada, the USA, and China.
I have lived experience working with neurodiverse populations. I am dedicated to providing
psychoeducation to parents with children facing mental health challenges. I offer therapy groups, individual counseling, and parenting coaching to neurodiverse clients and their parents.
As an immigrant in Canada, I have undergone the acculturation process and understood the struggles and challenges that immigrant individuals and families face. I have provided culturally informed care to my clients. My strong medical and research background helps me approach cases from a biopsychosocial perspective. I am dedicated to community service and have conducted workshops for Syrian refugees, Chinese immigrant families, and youth in the GTA and Kingston areas.
I am a lifelong learner who continues to expand my skills and knowledge through continuing
education. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling, skiing, and playing badminton.
